LimeWire Settles With the RIAA For $105 Million

Limewire is completely lost at the hands of the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) last week, when they agreed to a nine-digit payout to major record labels.

The now-defunct peer-to-peer client agreed, last week, to pay $105M to the major record labels as part of a settlement between both parties — the labels being represented by the copyright watchdog. They paid for 9,715 pirated tracks.

iPad 2 Officially Announced

Apple just announced today that they are releasing the iPad2 March 25th.  The new iPad promises to be twice as fast,  lighter, have more battery time, and be thinner.  Of course to compete with the soon to launch Blackberry PlayBook, the iPad now has two cameras.  One on the front and one on the back.  New graphic enhancements will make games run smoother and helps to make apps perform better.

Blackberry Reveals New Tablet Called ‘PlayBook’

Blackberry recently announced the release of a new product called; ‘Blackberry PlayBook’.  The PlayBook is a tablet designed to be versatile and suitable for a wide variety of users.  You will be able to access all kinds of media, install apps,  browse the web, play games, check emails and more.  Even more interesting, is the ability to have video conferences on the tablet and utilize its cameras.  It features front and rear facing high definition cameras, so this will be a big bonus over the iPad.
